Statements linking Chinese investment in ductile iron pipe manufacturing with localization, export potential, and infrastructure supply chains.

In her capacity as XINXING’s Representative in Egypt, Dr. Shaimaa Oleba, Founder and Chairwoman of SOIC Infinity Solutions International, affirmed that the inauguration and production launch of XINXING’s factory in Egypt represents a major strategic step in Egyptian-Chinese industrial and investment cooperation.

Dr. Oleba highlighted that the project reflects the confidence of one of China’s leading industrial groups specialized in ductile iron pipe production in the strength of the Egyptian economy and its ability to attract large-scale industrial investments.

She also praised the national efforts made to maximize local production, localize industry, and encourage value-added industrial investments, noting that XINXING’s investment in Egypt, estimated at around USD 350 million over two phases, is a practical model of industrial partnership based on technology transfer, infrastructure support, and serving urban development and utilities projects.

XINXING’s factory in Egypt is considered one of the region’s major specialized industrial projects in ductile iron pipe manufacturing. It represents a qualitative shift in the Egyptian market’s ability to produce large-diameter pipes up to 3000 mm and 6 meters in length using advanced global casting and forming technologies.

The importance of the factory comes at a time when Egypt is witnessing significant expansion in infrastructure projects, particularly drinking water, wastewater, pumping stations, water treatment plants, and utilities linked to new urban development. This creates strong opportunities to increase reliance on local production, reduce import dependency, and provide industrial solutions capable of meeting national project requirements.

Dr. Oleba emphasized that XINXING places its confidence in the Egyptian economy in recognition of the country’s efforts to support local manufacturing, improve the investment climate, and strengthen the role of the Suez Canal Economic Zone as a strategic platform for attracting industrial investments, localizing heavy industries, and supporting Egyptian exports to regional and international markets.

She explained that this investment is a practical reflection of the depth of the Egypt-China partnership, where China brings advanced industrial and technological expertise, while Egypt offers a strategic location, a promising market, developed infrastructure, and regional and international trade agreements that position it as a manufacturing and export hub serving the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.

Through its role in representing XINXING in Egypt, SOIC looks forward to strengthening cooperation between the company, government entities, relevant institutions, utilities-sector stakeholders, and major infrastructure companies to maximize the benefit of the factory’s production capacity, which reaches 250,000 tons annually, and direct it toward serving new urban development, drinking water, and wastewater projects in Egypt and beyond.

SOIC is proud of this cooperation as one of the important models in its journey to support industrial investment, technology transfer, strategic industry localization, export growth, and international partnerships that serve the Egyptian economy.
