Shaimaa Oleba Announces Cooperation to Support Localization of Advanced LED Systems in Egypt

An industrial cooperation track connecting national manufacturing capabilities with a Chinese partner to support advanced LED system localization in Egypt.
Shaimaa Oleba, Chairwoman of Soic Infinity Company, has announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Arab Organization for Industrialization (AOI) and ( ZYF )to produce modern lighting systems and advanced LED technology aimed at enhancing energy efficiency, in collaboration with the Chinese company ZYF, this agreement is Developed by Soic infinity as a strategic partner with ZYF
In an exclusive statement to Business Valley News during her participation in the Cairo ICT 2023 exhibition, she stated that joint manufacturing operations are set to commence within two months, with the products anticipated to launch in the Egyptian market within six months. She explained that the agreement with AOI aims to produce high-quality products that offer approximately 50% energy savings compared to currently available LED bulbs, significantly contributing to electricity conservation. Additionally, the manufacturing operations will focus on producing lighting systems for streetlights.

Shaimaa Oleba highlighted that arrangements and studies are in progress to manufacture the LED systems themselves, which will aid in developing a robust Egyptian product equipped with modern technology, capable of competing in and penetrating international markets.
She disclosed ongoing discussions with the Ministry of Electricity, the Ministry of Local Development, and the Urban Communities Authority to incorporate their products into various projects, noting that these products offer electricity savings ranging from 40% to 80%, depending on the software and specific product utilized.
She stated that the planned products align with the state's strategy to conserve electricity and reduce carbon emissions. A portion of the production will cater to the local market's needs, while another portion will be designated for export to African markets and countries rebuilding their economies, thereby generating foreign currency.
She added that the prices of the LED bulbs to be manufactured will be competitive within the local market and comparable to similar existing products.
She noted that negotiations with the Chinese company ZYF commenced some time ago. Initially, the company aimed to export to the Egyptian market, but negotiations resulted in an agreement to manufacture in Egypt. She added that they successfully convinced the company and attracted foreign investment into the Egyptian market for this advanced industry by establishing production lines.
